Speedy has 20 years in the commercial kitchen exhaust industry. He founded Speedy Clean LLC (now The Laster Group LLC), a company which initially provided kitchen exhaust cleaning and installation of supporting devices (access panels, hinge kits, grease containment) for a broad
spectrum of commercial kitchens, everything from Day Cares, Schools, Assisted Living Facilities, Mom & Pop, Fast Food, and Fine Dining Restaurants. Speedy was an instructor a Phil Ackland’s Hood Cleaning School and later became an instructor for Fire Inspectors. Speedy has
conducted over 1000 hours of class room instruction and field training pertaining to inspecting commercial kitchens for civilian and military Fire inspectors. He has conducted classes in 6 (six) countries on 3 (three) continents. Speedy has also been a presenter at the NASP conference in New Orleans and at the 16th Annual Texas Fire Marshals Conference. He has been providing expert services for subrogating professionals since 2016. Over the years Speedy has served as the Lead Instructor for Phil Ackland Specialty Training, also he has been a contributor to the book Inspecting Commercial Kitchens, served as part of the Peer Review for Fire Investigations Course manual and lastly, contributor in the book a Guide for Commercial Kitchen Fires. In 2022, The Laster Group LLC took over as managing partner for Phil Ackland Specialty Training.
